Jimmy brings more than eighteen years of leadership experience across military, fintech, enterprise, and high-growth technology environments. His career has been defined by one constant mission: ensuring that complex, large-scale systems remain secure, resilient, and aligned with real business outcomes.
Currently serving as Vice President of Cloud Security at Global Payments, Jimmy leads the company’s global cloud security strategy, overseeing international teams and securing critical infrastructure that supports millions of transactions worldwide. His work spans highly regulated environments, complex cloud architectures, and enterprise-level risk management, enabling innovation while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance.
Before his current role, Jimmy held senior security leadership positions across Global Payments, TSYS, Cayan, and Allen & Overy, where he directed security operations, digital transformation initiatives, and governance programs aligned with global regulatory frameworks. His experience includes guiding organizations through periods of rapid growth while ensuring that security and privacy were embedded into their foundations rather than added as an afterthought.
Jimmy’s professional journey began in the Irish Defence Forces, where he spent over a decade operating in environments where resilience, discipline, and accountability were non-negotiable. That experience continues to shape his approach today, bringing a level of operational clarity and calm leadership that translates seamlessly from military settings to enterprise platforms and agile startups.
